I receive so many comments on this topic that I thought I better dedicate a video to it. The question usually goes as follows, “I lost a lot of weight in week 1 or in the first 14 days, but I have…

Thank you for this helpful and informative video! It’s the only thing keeping me from giving up on the program right now. I am now entering my 3rd week on Atkins and I’m seeing a slight gain in my weight. It’s getting me very discouraged and your words of encouragement are really what I needed to get through another week. Thank you so much and congratulations on your weight loss!
Just stay persistent with and the same WOE that lost the initial pounds will continue their path downward. If you do a google search on “Atkins Diet not linear weight loss,” you’ll find a really good article on why that might be the case. You are very welcome. Thanks for watching!
I have to lose about 56 lbs. Perhaps a bit more. Also I haven’t begun exercising. I was a bit tempted to gone onto the Lipotrim diet. I did that last year and lost nearly two lbs. But I was starving at the end of the two weeks and put it all back on and more. I know that I am impatient. Just tired of being fat!!!
Thanks for your answer and this video. Looking at things I will have probably lost about 2 or 3 lbs this week.Am I right in thinking that from now on I will only lose about 2 to 3 lbs a week?
It of course depends on the amount to lose. Check out my how much weight will I lose video, but I lost routinely between 2-7 pounds per week. Don’t get fixated as much on the amount as working the plan, and knowing you are on the right path.
To be up front, I weighed myself daily, and I liked the daily reminder on how far I’ve come. My weight bounced around some days like a pogo stick, but I kept reminding myself about the downward trend and checked myself if I done anything different. However, I fully realize that negative scale results (gain weight temporary) can detrack people. Use the scale results as milestones to show how far you’ve come not as a determinant of your worth or happiness.
